Account deletion

Delete your Pixeltron account

How to delete your account and data for Pixeltron (Android app ai.pixeltron.app), published by Pixeltron on Google Play and operated by Pixeltron, Inc. The same account is used in the app and on the website, so deleting it once covers both.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open the Pixeltron app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Go to Settings, then Account, then Close account.
  3. Confirm it is you. Closing needs a recent sign-in, so you may be asked to sign in again or confirm with two-factor authentication or a passkey.
  4. Type CLOSE in the confirmation box and choose Close account. You are signed out on every device.

Before you close

Pixeltron will not close an account while it still owes you money or you are still being billed. The Close account screen tells you which of these applies:

  • An active subscription: cancel it first.
  • Earnings you can still withdraw: withdraw them first. Closing does not pay them out.
  • A withdrawal that is still in progress: wait until it finishes.
  • A balance below the payout minimum does not block closing, but it is not paid. You are asked to confirm that you give it up.

If you cannot sign in

If you no longer have access to your account, you can ask us to delete it. We will confirm that the request comes from the account holder, usually by checking the email address on the account, before deleting anything.

Email privacy@pixeltron.ai from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Pixeltron account". If you no longer have that address, tell us your Pixeltron handle and we will explain how we verify the request.

What is deleted

Closing your account anonymises your profile immediately: your email is replaced with an internal placeholder, your name and avatar are removed, your handle is retired and never reissued, your credentials and sessions are revoked, and your ad preferences are reset. Remaining personal data is purged automatically about 30 days after you close your account. Records we must keep for tax, payout, fraud, safety, or legal reasons are retained as described in Retention and are not used for any other purpose. Games and comments you made stay in anonymised form unless you delete them before closing, and so does media that a published game still uses; tell us if you want them removed as well.

What we keep, and for how long

Some records are kept after closing because the law or safety requires it. They are not used for anything else.

  • Purchase, credit, reward ledger, payout, and tax records: 7 years, because tax and financial rules require it. These records are retained after account closure.
  • Advertiser account and billing records: for the life of the advertiser account plus 7 years for financial records.
  • Terms and policy acceptance evidence: for the life of the account and for the period needed afterwards to show what was agreed, because we need to demonstrate consent and acceptance.
  • Moderation records, reports, appeals, and safety evidence: for as long as needed to enforce our policies, handle appeals, and meet legal obligations, including preservation duties for child-safety reports.
  • Backups: encrypted database backups are kept for a limited rolling period and are overwritten on schedule. Data deleted from the live system may persist in a backup until that backup expires; we do not restore deleted personal data from backups except to recover from a failure.
  • Where the law requires us to keep a record for longer, or where a record is needed for an ongoing dispute or investigation, we keep it for that period only.

Deleting some data without closing your account

You do not have to close your account to remove things you made or shared. You can delete them yourself at any time. Closing your account does not delete published games or comments by itself: they stay in anonymised form unless you delete them first. The Privacy Policy keeps them as follows:

  • Comments, published games, and uploaded media: until you delete them, subject to moderation holds, because they are content you chose to publish. If you close your account without deleting them, your games and comments stay in anonymised form, and so does media that a published game still uses; your other uploaded media is deleted when the rest of your personal data is purged.
  • Premium characters: until you delete them or close your account. The picture you chose stays in your Drive until you delete it there. Deleting a premium character in Pixeltron does not delete what OpenAI or PixelLab received to make it, which each keeps under its own retention terms.

The full list of what Pixeltron collects and how long each record is kept is in the Privacy Policy.
